This webinar on men's health was co-hosted by the Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance of Canada and the BC Healthy Living Alliance's Working on Wellness initiative. The webinar explored: What does it mean for men to be healthy? And what does it take for men to get healthy? Presenter, Dr. Larry Goldenberg brings us up to date on men's health status in Canada. He also describes the male journey to health – including what it takes to get and stay healthy. Presenter, Dr. John Oliffe profiles the most recent research findings from the men's health research program at UBC Drawing from what has been learned through the Men’s Depression and Suicide Network, Dr. Oliffe discusses effective ways for identifying and treating men's depression and developing male suicide prevention programs.
